The Next Late Start Class

Writer's Workshop!!!

Here is what we have in store for the next late start classes....


First and Second Graders will work with Anne Rutherford, a Sellwood resident and local author, to create an original character. The students will take that character and use it in a writing piece.

Third, Fourth and Fifth Graders will work with 2 different comic book writers to develop their own comic strips. Nicole Joanne and John Isaacson are local comic book and zine writers and they will host the workshops.

These workshops are 3 sessions long. That means, that if your child is signed up for the workshop, they will need to attend all 3 sessions. The sessions will be held on the Late Start mornings in January, February and March.

The workshop is from 8:30 - 9:50, and will be held in classrooms at school.

Again, you need to sign your child up for this workshop. You can do that by leaving your child's info in the comments section - name and teacher's name. If you would like, you can just write your child's last name, and their teacher's name.....I will be able to identify your child. Or you can also email me to tell me that you want to sign up for the class.

I recognize that not every student will be interested in taking this class, that is why not every TAG student is automatically enrolled in the class. We want it to be meaningful to the students who choose to attend.
