Classes offered this Spring at Llewellyn:
Math Puzzles & Games: Students solve fiendishly clever puzzles, learn new codes, and play ancient games. They discover strategies behind puzzles as they build their own Soma puzzle from wood blocks and solve Brain-teasers and Soduku. In addition, they learn the tools and tactics for playing classic games like Nine Men's Morris and Bridges and writing, decoding and discovering the secrets behind famous codes such as Masonic and Substitution.

Lego Physics: Gears & Cams: How tall can a tower rise? Can a tower be built three times taller by using three times the amount of materials? Students will find out the answers to these questions as they discover how physics principles are put to practical use. Using Lego building components, they will investigate structural designs and employ gears, cams and pendulums to explore kinetic and stored energy.
