The Llewellyn TAG introductory meeting held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 provided the parents of newly TAG identified students the opportunity to learn more about the identification process, what Llewellyn School offers its TAG students, and what other TAG-focused resources there are out in the community. Llewellyn's TAG Coordinator Robin Mauldin provided an overview of the testing process and how the services are offered at Llewellyn including the classes held on "late start mornings" that will begin in October for no charge and the two sessions being offered afterschool, for a fee, as a part of the PTA's offerings. (Please see previous blog posts for more information on either of these items.)
Llewellyn's TAG Parent Liaison Brenda Ray Scott introduced herself to the group and shared a summary of the TAG 101 meeting offered by Portland Public Schools (PPS) in May, 2012, the PPS TAG Parent Advisory Council (PAC) whose next meeting will take place on Tuesdsay, October 2 at 6:30 p.m., resources about area list serves that focus on TAG, and an announcement of the Oregon Association of Talented and Gifted (OATAG) Conference
