TAG update from Blue Letter

My name is Marty Crouser. I am a fifth grade teacher at Llewellyn. This is my fifth year at Llewellyn and I have loved every moment of this amazing community. I am the TAG coordinator this year. It is a new position that I have never been a part of at any of the other three schools I have previously worked. The learning curve on this piece is steep and I am learning on the run. I will try and keep everyone up to date on TAG offerings and events.

There are a couple of upcoming dates and happenings to be aware of that you might be interested in. If you believe your child may be TAG eligible, please ask the classroom teacher about screening, or you can email me at mcrouser@pps.net and I will begin the paperwork process. I am just becoming familiar with the process, so keep asking questions if you haven't gotten the answer from me. In addition to the screening of eligible students, all second grade students will be screened for TAG eligibility at the beginning of October. I believe the testing date will be October 7, 2013.

Lastly, I am excited to announce that parent liaisons Susan Lattimore, Heather Koch, Principal Joe Galati, and I are working on some TAG offerings. We will be meeting with Roxanne Coleman of the PPS Talented and Gifted office on October 8, 2013, and then will announce how we are rolling out our new ideas. You can find this information and more on the TAG blog.
