Hi everyone,
Welcome back to
Llewellyn. In June, many of us came together for some great discussion
and brainstorming about the TAG program at Llewellyn with Robin
Mauldin. I accepted the position of TAG Parent Liaison and have been
mindfully looking at past, present, and future offerings for TAG students at
Llewellyn and beyond. Heather Koch has worked closely with me and we have
together met with Principal Joe Galati and Llewellyn's TAG Coordinator,
Marty Crouser, on several occasions to discuss TAG offerings and
curriculum at Llewellyn. Firm plans for this school year are not yet
confirmed, but we are actively working and advocating. We will be meeting
with the District TAG staff in early October, and plan will work with Joe and
Marty over the next few weeks to organize a TAG Parent Meeting in October.
Additionally, I will be attending the TAG Advocacy Group meeting with PPS
staff Tuesday, September 17th and will share any information that
comes from this meeting.
Please stay tuned. We
will rely on parents to be involved and continue to advocate for the needs of
our TAG learners at Llewellyn. I am excited about the possibilities and
hope that I will have much more to share with you when we meet next
month. I apologize in advance for anyone who was overlooked in this
correspondence. This information will be posted on the TAG Blog: http://www.llewellyntag.blogspot.com/
Best,
Susan Lattimore
Llewellyn TAG Parent Liaison
